The development of bilateral trade and transit relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan
The Economic Deputy of the Prime Minister's Office says that in a meeting chaired by the Economic Deputy Office of the Prime Minister, the establishment of a common room between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan and the development of trade relations between the two countries were discussed.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Press Office of the Economic Deputy of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate published a newsletter saying that in a meeting chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Economic Deputy of the Prime Minister, special committees were formed to follow up on the issues raised by the delegation of the Islamic Emirate in Uzbekhistan. 

It is said that in this meeting, the development of bilateral trade and transit relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, the balanced amount of trade between the two countries, the increase in the number of cargo vehicles, the 24-hour operation of Haritaran port and the establishment of a joint trade chamber between the two countries were discussed.

Also, in this meeting, the use of the joint Afghan-Uzbek trade center in Tirmaz, the finalization of the agreements related to the quarantine of both countries, the investment of Uzbek investors in iron, copper and coal mines, the cooperation of Uzbekistan to build a cement production plant in Afghanistan, the expansion of the network Termez-Mazar-e-Sharif railway to Herat and Kandahar, the development of Nayebabad station and Uzbekistan's investment in Surkhan-Pul-Khumri electricity transmission were discussed and assigned to the designated committees to follow up these issues seriously.
