North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles
North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles towards the East Sea in response to the joint exercise between the US, South Korea and Japan on the Korean Peninsula.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The South Korean army announced this morning (Monday, July 1) that North Korea launched two ballistic missiles towards the East Sea.

According to Yonhap's report, North Korea had warned yesterday about holding a joint exercise between the US, South Korea and Japan on the Korean Peninsula.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement that a short-range ballistic missile was launched from the Yangyun region in the south of Hwanghae Province at 5:50 am and another unknown ballistic missile was launched to the east at 5:15 am.

The South Korean military has not provided more details about this North Korean action, including the flight length of these missiles.

The statement from the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff continues, while maintaining our vigilance monitoring capability for the possibility of further launches, we will share information about these launches with our counterparts in the United States and Japan.
