England detained a number of asylum seekers for deportation to the African country of Rwanda
The British Home Office announced that it has detained a number of asylum seekers for deportation to the African country of Rwanda.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The British Ministry of Interior announced that the authorities of this country have arrested the first illegal immigrants who are going to be transferred to Rwanda and will continue to speed up the implementation of the agreement on the transfer of immigrants between the two countries.
 
Rwanda and the UK signed an agreement in 2022 to send people whom London identifies as illegal immigrants or asylum seekers to Rwanda for resettlement.
 
This plan has been criticized by human rights organizations as well as many politicians and officials in England and Europe.
 
Stopping this wave of migration is one of the important priorities of the British government, but critics of this plan consider sending refugees to Rwanda inhumane.
