Protests continue in 40 American universities/at least 100 students have been arrested
American universities continue to witness massive demonstrations in support of Gaza and condemning the genocide by the Zionist regime. CNN has reported on Thursday night, April 25, quoting American officials, that during the student protests in support of Palestine, 93 protesting students have been arrested at the University of Southern California and dozens more at the University of Texas. According to this report, at least two Emory University professors are among those arrested.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: At the same time as the protests continue in different American universities in support of Gaza, the protest sit-in of students continues on the campus of George Washington University in the American capital.

This is despite the fact that earlier the university authorities had given a specific time to end the protest tents and now despite the passing of the deadline for removing the tents, the protest gathering and sit-ins continue. Protests continue at New York's Columbia University, and university officials have announced that if discussions with students are not successful, they should consider other options to restore peace on campus.

According to the statistics provided by N. B. 30, students of at least 40 American and Canadian universities and colleges have set up a sit-in tent in solidarity with Gaza, and these sit-ins continue despite warnings and police intervention.

The American police also announced after the raid on the Indiana University: at least 33 people were arrested on the campus after the protesters refused to remove the tent structures.

According to official reports, during the student protests in support of Palestine, the American authorities have so far arrested about 100 participants in the student protests at the University of Southern California and dozens of people at the University of Texas in Austin.

It is also reported that the US authorities arrested at least two professors at Emory University in Georgia as part of the people participating in the university demonstrations against the war in Gaza. According to the published news, the head of Emory University's philosophy department is among those arrested.

At the same time as student protests continue in the United States to support the people of Gaza, "Chris Carr", the Attorney General of Georgia, has supported the suppression of protesting students by the police in his user account on the X network (former Twitter).

"We will proudly stand with any university that takes the necessary steps to protect the health and safety of Georgia students," the Georgia attorney general said in a statement about the protests.

Student protests in the United States to support Palestine and to stop the war in Gaza have been met with a strong reaction and suppression by the American police forces. In this connection, Amnesty International reacted by issuing a statement to the suppression of peaceful protests by American university students in support of the Palestinian nation.

Referring to the actions of the American security forces, Amnesty International said: these protests were met with a repressive response, including the arrest and expulsion of students.

The statement continues: While the provision of weapons to Israel by Washington continues, the right to protest is of great importance.

Amnesty International emphasized: We ask American universities to support the rights of students in peaceful and safe demonstrations.

It should be noted that with the continuation of the Zionist regime's crimes against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the impartial support of the United States for these crimes, the students of American universities have started mass protests, strikes and sit-ins inside the campuses of these universities.

These students want to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime and also cut the connection of American universities with the Zionist regime.

Even though these protests are being held peacefully inside the American universities, the American police and security forces have severely suppressed and arrested the American students by entering these universities.

The American media announced that in this wave of repressions, 93 protesting students at the University of California and 34 protesting students at the University of Texas were suppressed and arrested by the American police in the most severe way.
