On Tuesday, the United Nations General Assembly, by passing a non-binding resolution, asked the Israeli regime to withdraw from the occupied Golan region of Syria. This resolution was approved by the United Nations General Assembly with 91 positive votes, 8 negative votes and 62 abstentions.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: In this resolution, deep concern was expressed about Israel not withdrawing from the occupied Golan region of Syria and it asked Tel Aviv to withdraw from the occupied Golan region.
Israel has occupied the Golan region from Syria after the 6-day war of 1967. In the past 6 decades, the Tel Aviv regime has refused to implement various UN resolutions to withdraw from this occupied area.
In 1981, the government of "Menachem Begin" in Israel, de facto annexed this area to its territory, an action that has been repeatedly opposed by the United Nations and called it illegal.
In March 2019, during the time of Donald Trump, the US government issued a declaration recognizing the Golan Heights under the sovereignty of the Israeli regime, thus making America the first country to recognize the sovereignty of this regime over this region.
Trump wrote in a statement: "Any possible future peace agreement in the region must take into account Israel's need to protect itself from Syria and other regional threats. Therefore, based on these unique circumstances, it is appropriate that Israel's sovereignty over the heights Golan should be recognized."
In the months after this announcement, the Israeli regime approved the establishment of a city called "Ramet Trump" (Trump Heights) in the occupied Golan Heights region. Several families have since moved to the town.
