China and Russia called for the support of the international community for the development of economic and trade cooperation with Afghanistan at the meeting of the United Nations Security Council yesterday, Monday (August 29), which was held with the focus on Afghanistan issues.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): China's representative in the UN Security Council, Zhang Jun, yesterday Monday (August 29) at the Security Council meeting focusing on Afghanistan issues, stated that foreign models of democracy do not work in the country, and emphasized that he is in favor of politics. It is universal and healthy in Afghanistan.
 
He said: "We expect the Islamic Emirate to pursue healthy and comprehensive domestic and foreign policies, actively protect people's livelihoods, and fight terrorism decisively."
 
Zhang stated that the humanitarian situation of tens of millions of people, including women and girls, in Afghanistan is worrying.
 
The Chinese ambassador to the United Nations also asked the international community to support Afghanistan in the development of economic and trade cooperation.
 
Meanwhile, Vasiliy Nebenzia, Russia's representative in the Security Council, has also made a similar request.
