The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, in response to Pakistan's Defense Minister's statement yesterday regarding the presence of terrorist sanctuaries in Afghanistan, said that he is "running away" from his "responsibility" in order to provide security by accusing Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the caretaker government, said that the Pakistani authorities are justifying their failures by blaming Afghanistan in the continuation of verbal tensions between Kabul and Islamabad due to Pakistan's security issues and the increase in terrorist attacks in this country.

Speaking to National Radio-Television on Thursday, Mr. Mujahid reacted to the statement of the Minister of Defense of Pakistan regarding the presence of terrorist sanctuaries in Afghanistan and said that by accusing Afghanistan of its "responsibility" in order to provide security, Mr. Mujahid "escaped" he does.

On Wednesday, the 8th of Hamal (one day after the bloody attack on Chinese engineers in this country), Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif wrote on the X social network: "The source of terrorism in Pakistan is in Afghanistan."

According to his claim, the authorities of the Islamic Emirate are aware of the so-called "hideouts of terrorism in Afghanistan" and these groups use Afghanistan as a platform to organize terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

However, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate responded to these statements of the Pakistani Defense Minister and said: "We consider these statements of the Pakistani Defense Minister to be baseless. Afghanistan itself was a victim of forty years of war, it has endured a lot of suffering. The fact that Pakistan now calls Afghanistan the cause of insecurity in that country is an escape from responsibility and a justification for their own failure.

The Minister of Defense of Pakistan also raised the issue of "changing" the border between the two countries - which is considered "hypothetical" - in his statements and said that due to the increase in terrorist attacks in Pakistan which are organized from Afghanistan, there is a need for a fundamental change. It exists in the state of borders.

According to him, "the Pakistan-Afghanistan border is different from the traditional border of the whole world, in the current situation where the cooperation of Kabul (Islamic Emirate) is not possible, Pakistan does not have to implement all international laws and traditions on this border."

Zabihullah Mujahid did not respond to this part of Khawaja Asif's threatening statement and emphasized on maintaining relations with neighbors.

It should be noted that the Durand Line, as a border barrier between the two countries, has been the subject of many discussions and verbal tensions for many years, but this is the first time that the issue of fundamentally changing the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan has been raised.
