Health ministry employee arrested for accepting $80,000 bribe
An employee of Public Health Ministry was arrested Tuesday while receiving a bribe of $80,000, the Attorney General's Office said.

The employee had demanded the bribe for processing documents of a company which would deliver protective kits to the ministry, said Jamshid Rasooli, a spokesman for AGO.
The company had won contract to deliver 300,000 protective kits following national procurement process, he said.
Meanwhile, Public Health Ministry said that it had spent $36 million from national budget alone in the fight against coronavirus.
This comes as people complain from lack of enough equipment at COVID-19 hospitals in the country.
According to the office of first vice president, there are 225 ventilators at the country's hospitals and 585 more will be purchased.
It rejected reports that some ventilators were smuggled to Pakistan.
