By announcing this day, Imam Khomeini (RA) not only made supporting Palestine a global issue, but also reminded all the people of the world of the concepts of freedom, justice, and human rights. This day reminds the people of the world that they should never neglect the struggle for freedom and justice and not remain silent in the face of oppression. And these are the reasons why International Quds Day is dedicated not only to the Palestinian people, but to all the people of the world.
A symbol of the confrontation between right and wrong
This international day represents the alignment of right and wrong, the alignment of justice against oppression, and the day of the Islamic nation. Quds Day is a great global day and has a global message: "The Islamic nation will not submit to oppression, even if this oppression is supported by the largest and most powerful governments in the world."
The day of blood flowing in the veins of the Islamic nation
International Quds Day is not just a march; it is blood that flows in the veins of the Islamic nation. And it is the day of the defeat of the governments that thought of forgetting Palestine.
The value of Quds in the Holy Quran and in the eyes of the Islamic nation
According to the Holy Quran and Muslims, Quds is a land where a door from the doors of heaven opens, and the ascension from that place became possible for the Prophet (PBUH). From the perspective of the Holy Quran, the Temple of Quds is a mosque that, in terms of humility and submissiveness, that holy place and the noble Al-Aqsa Mosque, its surrounding lands are also blessed and blessed.
God Almighty says in the Holy Quran:
Translation: Glory be to God who took His servant by night from Al-Masjid Al-Haram to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, the surroundings of which He has blessed, so that He might show him of His signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
In this verse, God Almighty mentions the names of two places with sanctity, blessing, and respect. Mentioning these two noble places together informs of a divine secret and mystery. God gives the name of the holy temple of Jerusalem to the mosque and makes it the companion of Al-Masjid Al-Haram. This shows its sanctity and value in the eyes of God Almighty.
God Almighty guides Prophet Abraham and Prophet Lot to this blessed land so that they can spread the belief in monotheism from there to the whole world. After settling in the blessed land of Jerusalem, Prophet Abraham moved towards the Hijaz and built the Sacred House and the Kaaba there to create a sacred connection between these two places.
It is amazing that one day Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) traveled from Jerusalem to the Hijaz, and the next day the Prophet of God, the proclaimer of monotheism and worship, traveled from the Sacred Mosque to the Al-Aqsa Mosque. From this it becomes clear that there is a close and strong connection between these two holy places.
