Rahmatullah Faizan/ We are on the eve of the International Quds Week, a week that was founded 45 years ago by Ayatollah Khomeini, the late leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, to bring the cry of the oppression of Palestine to the ears of the world and to demonstrate the unity of the Islamic nation against the usurping Zionist regime. But are marches and slogans alone enough? Will mere expressions of sympathy heal this old wound? Undoubtedly, Ayatollah Khomeini’s action has played a fundamental role in awakening the Islamic nation and strengthening the spirit of resistance, but this fateful battle will not be won except through sacrifice, dedication, and practical measures—sacrifice that many Muslims refuse to accept. Today, the liberation of Holy Quds is not only a religious duty, but also a historical and human mission that will not be achieved without cost, sacrifice, and decisive confrontation with global arrogance. When we hear the trembling voice of a young Palestinian on social media, saying from the depths of pain: "Which Ramadan are you talking about?! The lifeless bodies of our loved ones are still buried under the rubble of Gaza. Our innocent children are dying in cold tents, hungry and with dry lips. There is no longer a house left in Gaza, no more alleys for children to play, no more laughter; only destruction, only rubble, only bitter silence! You are waiting for Ramadan, to stand in the first row of prayer, to pay zakat, but tell me, for whom will this Ramadan be?! How can your hearts be at peace, while you circumambulate the House of God but have forgotten Gaza?!
O scholars of the Islamic nation, where are you?!
You who always talk about Ramadan, why are you silent today in the face of the crimes of the Zionists?!
O imams of the mosques, where are you?!
On You preach from high pulpits, but why don't you talk about the oppression of Gaza, about this destruction, about these endless scars?!
What does Ramadan mean to us anymore, when the sky of Gaza still smells and smells of blood...?!" Awakened consciences, hearing these cries, come to a bitter truth: the silence of the Islamic nation in the face of Zionist crimes is an unforgivable betrayal! While Muslims around the world celebrate Quds Day, Holy Quds continues to be crushed under the bloody boots of Zionism.
The Palestinian nation stands defenseless and alone in the face of the brutal crimes of the occupiers. The enemy destroys Muslim homes, kills women and children to the ground and blood, and has usurped their holy land, but the Islamic nation has fallen into deadly silence and is the only observer of this brutal genocide. Is this the nation that God promised honor and power? Has Islamic zeal against arrogance and occupation been destroyed? So why has the Islamic world fallen into such a sleep of neglect? Today is the day of uprising; the day of awakening of the Islamic Ummah, the day when we must unite our ranks against the occupiers and their arrogant supporters.
Palestine, the first Qibla of Muslims, needs practical support, not just ineffective slogans! Every step taken in support of Palestine will be a step on the path of liberating the Holy Quds and destroying the Zionist regime. The silence of the Islamic Ummah today is a betrayal that history will not forgive! The renewed attacks of the Zionist regime, which have so far led to the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of innocent Palestinians, especially women and children, are a horrific and unforgivable crime. This barbaric act of the Zionist occupiers is not only a clear violation of human rights and international law, but also a clear betrayal of all human values and the conscience of humanity. The Islamic Ummah, today more than ever, has a duty to stand against this blatant cruelty! Influential countries must declare their firm support for the oppressed Palestinian people and take practical and serious measures to end the occupation. The issue of Palestine is the issue of the Islamic Ummah! Muslims must support the just struggle and legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people with their lives and property, because supporting Palestine is supporting the dignity and honor of the Islamic Ummah!
