Sayyed Hamed Amini / Saudi Arabia, a land that millions of Muslims from all over the world love and whose hearts are illuminated by the names of the Kaaba and Medina, has these days become the scene of events that pain the hearts of the Muslim community. A land that was once a symbol of steadfast faith and a stronghold of Islamic values, has now become an arena for the desecration of sacred places through the decisions and actions of its leaders.
Jennifer Lopez's concert; a symbol of desecration
One of the most recent and controversial examples of this deviation was the controversial concert of Jennifer Lopez, a famous Western singer. In this program, which was held in a city in Saudi Arabia, she appeared on stage naked and, amidst a circle of dance and joyous movements, included the symbol of the House of God in her performance. This action was a clear desecration of Islamic values and sanctities; because in a culture where millions of Muslims bow down to the name of the Kaaba, such a performance can only be a clear insult to Islamic beliefs.
The concert, which was held at great expense and with extensive publicity, not only questioned religious values, but also indicated a profound change in Saudi Arabia’s cultural policies. How can one accept that the land of revelation, instead of strengthening Islamic identity, will host artists who introduce foreign cultural symbols into the country and surround the spirit of Islam with Western culture?
The Islamic world in mourning; Saudi Arabia in celebration
These actions are taking place at a time when the Muslim community is in mourning and sorrow. In Gaza, children die every day amidst fire and blood, and Palestinian fathers and mothers pull their children out of the rubble. In Lebanon, homes that were once full of hope and life are now destroyed and families are waiting for the slightest help to survive.
Meanwhile, instead of standing in solidarity with oppressed Muslims, Saudi Arabia spends billions of dollars on Western concerts and lavish shows. Is this the same country that is called the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques? Are Saudi leaders aware of their religious and historical responsibility?
Shameful transactions; Muslim wealth in the service of the enemies of Islam
The enormous oil wealth that God has bestowed upon this land could have been used to strengthen the unity of the Islamic Ummah and support the oppressed. However, this wealth is today at the service of Western powers and is helping to foment war in the Islamic world through arms and political contracts.
Every bomb that falls on the heads of children in Gaza and every bullet that lodges in the hearts of Yemeni Muslims is part of Saudi Arabia’s shameful transactions with arrogant powers. These transactions are not only a betrayal of the Islamic Ummah, but also a stain on the forehead of the country’s leaders.
Mohammed bin Salman; From changing the flag to promoting gambling and Western music
Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, is trying to turn this country into a global center of trade and entertainment. However, this effort comes at a heavy price for the religious identity of this land. He has not only promoted Western concerts and immoral activities in Saudi Arabia, but also seeks to change the country's flag; a flag adorned with the word Tayyiba, which is a symbol of faith and unity for Muslims around the world.
Opening casinos, promoting a Western lifestyle, and distancing oneself from Islamic values are all part of the Saudi Crown Prince's new policies that have put the soul of this land at risk.
The Islamic Emirate; A Model for Resistance and Adherence to Values
In contrast to this deviation, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has become a model for adherence to Islamic values and resistance to Western cultural influence. A government that, despite severe economic and political pressures, has managed to maintain its Islamic identity and emphasize principles such as social justice, unity of the Islamic nation, and support for the oppressed.
This difference between the policies of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Emirate has a clear message for the Muslim nation: living a simple life and adhering to Islamic principles not only preserves religious identity, but also brings honor and independence.
The Message of the Islamic Ummah to Saudi Arabia
O Saudi Arabia, you are the land of revelation! The Kaaba is in your midst, the Qibla of millions of Muslims who seek honor and unity from God every day with their prayers. But today, your celebrations and concerts have separated you from the Islamic Ummah.
Do you still remember what your responsibility is? Do you still hear the cries of the children of Gaza and the refugees of Lebanon? Can you still be recognized as the Custodian of the Sacred Mosque?
Return to the Path of Dignity
The Islamic Ummah expects you to return to your true position; to the same Saudi Arabia that was at the forefront of defending the oppressed and standing against arrogance. There is still a chance to correct this wrong path and return to authentic Islamic values.
O land of revelation, Muslims are looking to you. The Kaaba can still be the point of unity for the Ummah, if you too remember that dignity lies in adhering to Islam, not in imitating Western culture. Return, before it is too late!
