The event of Ashura has played a significant role in the life, development and expansion of Islam and has shone like a bright light on the path of the Islamic Ummah. Undoubtedly, one of the groups that played a role in this movement were women, and if Islam is alive with the uprising of Imam Hussain (a.s.), a large part of it is related to women who history has rarely seen.

The women of the Ashura incident, like the men, had a special duty. They played a very influential role in the survival of the Ashura incident, which, according to Professor Shahid Motahari, the history of Karbala is a male-female history and event, an event in which both men and women play a role. have; A man in his own orbit and a woman in her own orbit.

We can talk about the women in the Karbala incident in two ways: one is how many and who they were, and the other is what role they played. The women who were present in Karbala were some of the children of Hazrat Ali (AS) and some other than them, either from Banu Hashem or others, Hazrat Zainab (S), Umm Kulthum, Fatima, Safiya, Hazrat Ruqiya (S) and Umm Hani. They were from the children of Hazrat Ali (a.s.), Fatima and Sakineh were the daughters of Seyyed al-Shahda (a.s.), Rabab, Ataka, the mother of Mohsen bin Hasan, the daughter of Muslim bin Aqeel, Fazeh Nubia, the special maid of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and the mother of Wahb bin Abdullah.

In the meantime, the colorful role of women, especially Zainab Kabri (peace be upon her) became a prominent face from the Karbala incident. He disgraces the enemy because he was educated in the Mohammedan school in the lap of his dear mother Fatima Zahra (pbuh). He has the words of Ali (a.s.) on his tongue and the blood of Hussain in his veins, as if when he recites a speech, it is as if Ali's words are flowing on his tongue, and Zainab Kobri, peace be upon him, repeats them. 

He stands in front of Yazid and says firmly: Yazid! Do you think that today you have captured us and you have taken all the land on us and we are in the hands of your servants, it is a blessing from God on you?! I swear to God, you are very small and lowly in my opinion and I don't have a single bit of personality for you.

This type of education means education in the heavenly school, whose teachers are God and his saints, the fruit of which is excitement and courage that can destroy the foundation of oppression and tyranny.

The influential sermons of honorable women, which speak of the goodness of enjoining good and forbidding evil, had such an impact on the sleeping hearts of people that it became the basis for great developments and uprisings such as the uprising of Towabin and the uprising of Mukhtar.

In addition to that, these lectures and clarifications had other important achievements, such as discrediting the ruling system, giving the people the spirit of resistance and standing, creating unity and unanimity among the people for struggle and rebellion, awakening thoughts and ideas, preparing agents. The fall of the regime, the development of Islamic education, the creation of new moral values, etc. are among these achievements.

Reflecting on the personality and status of each of these women can show the greatness and greatness of their worthy actions and be a lesson for women in different eras to achieve the lofty goals of Islam.

A lesson on hijab and chastity from Ashura
Preserving the values ​​of chastity and hijab was another lesson of the heroines of Karbala, who observed chastity and hijab against dirty eyes, even though they were captives, the protestors emphasized on preserving chastity.

that in the current conditions of Islamic societies, this is one of the most important lessons for Muslim women, that this is the great mission of our mothers and sisters to learn from the hijab of Zainab (pbuh) and the women of the Ashura incident, and one of the biggest lessons of the Karbala incident is the hijab. In the current situation, the enemy seeks to remove the veil because if the veil is removed, the youth will be infected with sin and sin and will give up fighting the enemy.

that commanding good and forbidding evil from the beginning of the uprising of Imam Hussain (a.s.) to this day, not only ourselves, but also girls and other women should spread the observance of hijab so that we can be the true path of innocence and purity and obey the commands of God Let's implement what was stated in the Quran and by the Ahl al-Bayt.
