Afghanistan would offer 22 national development programs at Tokyo conference

Chaired by Second Vice-President Mohammad Karim Khalili the council of ministers economic committee session was held reviewing the report presented by minister of finance on preparedness of Afghanistan for the Tokyo Conference. 

He said that Afghanistan and the international community are well prepared for the Tokyo conference, adding that Afghanistan will present 22 national development programs and priorities in the infrastructures, development of human resources, good governance and development of the private sector. 

He stressed that with attraction of the support of international community the Tokyo conference in relation to the development programs we expect that Afghanistan in the future years will have marked achievements in economic, political and social spheres. 

The meeting participants expressed their views in this respect.
Mohammad Karim Khalili pointing to the need for follow up of implementation of probable commitments at the Tokyo Conference considered the serious need for good governance, serious struggle against corruption. 

The meeting instructed the sectoral ministries to be prepared for implementation of probable commitments at the Tokyo Conference. 

At the end the meeting the members of the committee studies the proposal of the Steel Meting Factory of Safa Rahimi on purchase of iron of Herat province for production of iron bars proposed by the economy ministry. 

In order to support the private sector the proposal was adopted by the meeting on the basis of highest price of bidding process and standard production turn out. (BNA)
