American troops have killed a civilian in Afghanistan’s southern province of Kandahar, Press TV reports, citing statements by Afghan officials.
Provincial police chief of Kandahar Rahmatullah Atrafi said on Thursday that US troops shot and killed a man in Dand city on Wednesday.
The man came under fire when he was walking with his daughter on a road in the area, Atrafi said, adding that the child escaped unharmed.
The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) is yet to comment on the incident.
Anger with US-led foreign forces is climbing across Afghanistan over their attacks on civilians.
