Turkish Foreign Minister: We are ready to send troops to the Gaza Strip
In light of the ongoing dispute over the formation of an international stabilization force in the Gaza Strip, the Turkish Foreign Minister today (Sunday) explicitly stated that Ankara is ready to send military forces to the Gaza Strip.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that his country is ready to assume its responsibility for Gaza and do whatever is on its shoulders, "including sending military forces to this region."

Fidan said in an interview with the private Turkish network A HABER: "Turkey is ready to assume its responsibility in Gaza and do whatever is necessary, including sending military forces to this region."

He emphasized that Turkey supports the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement and will continue to support it, although this agreement does not provide guarantees in the traditional sense.

He added: “Work is underway to draft a resolution that will serve as an international legal document and clearly define the powers of the international stabilization force to be deployed in Gaza.”

Fidan noted: “There is a civil-military cooperation center that the United States will coordinate, which it has established with the support of Israel. This center could be the initial core of the international stabilization force.”

He added: “A peace and international stabilization force committee is to be formed in Gaza, and talks are ongoing in this regard. The United States has conducted studies in this regard and is consulting with Turkey.”

The Turkish foreign minister also stressed that his country would continue to send humanitarian aid to Gaza without interruption, and that the aid it has sent to the Egyptian port of El-Arish was “numerous.”

“The Sharm el-Sheikh agreement on the ceasefire in Gaza is an agreement that Turkey supports and will continue to support, although it does not provide traditional guarantees,” he said.

Fidan added: “When it comes to defending Palestine and resisting, as long as the occupation and oppression continue, armed resistance will continue. If not Hamas, it will be another group, because this is inherent in confronting the occupation. Every Palestinian will do his duty. The Westerners know this and everyone knows it.”

He also noted that the formation of a “non-political committee to govern daily life” in Gaza is under consideration, and Hamas has announced its readiness to hand over the administration of Gaza to this Palestinian committee.

Fidan added: “There has been a reaction as a result of the introduction of Hamas as a terrorist organization similar to ISIS. Efforts are underway to turn this reaction into politics. We need to analyze this discourse structurally, that is, to review and redefine it.”
