UN: Humanitarian crisis in Sudan is worsening
The United Nations has warned of the worsening humanitarian crisis in Sudan and announced that a significant number of people in the country, especially in the affected areas, are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to the Russia Today network, the United Nations has warned that the humanitarian situation in Sudan is rapidly deteriorating and about 30 million people in the country are in need of urgent assistance.

The report adds that after the fall of the city of El Fasher, 90,000 people have been displaced from their areas and 50,000 people in Kordofan province have been forced to flee as a result of the escalation of violence.

The UN has emphasized that the crisis in Sudan is worsening and the international community should not remain indifferent to it.

According to media reports, armed clashes in Sudan began on April 15, 2023 between the army commanded by "Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan" and the Rapid Support Forces commanded by "Mohammed Hamdan Daqlo", nicknamed "Hamidati", over power and tension regarding how to integrate the Rapid Support Forces into the army after the 2021 coup, and international mediation to end it has not yet yielded any results.

The Rapid Support Forces, which had besieged the city of Al-Fasher, Sudan for more than a year, attacked and captured the city on November 2, 1404. Khartoum authorities, the United Nations, and other international institutions and organizations have accused the Rapid Support Forces of committing "massacres and widespread human rights violations against civilians" in the city, including summary executions, arrests, and forced displacement of residents.
