Trump Administration Satisfaction Drops; Even Republicans Are Worried
The latest poll results show that only one-third of American adults are satisfied with the performance of Donald Trump’s administration, a situation that indicates a decline in public trust in the government. What is noteworthy is that the decline in satisfaction is not limited to political opponents, and even among Republicans there are signs of concern and dissatisfaction.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): A new Associated Press-Nork poll shows that satisfaction with the way Donald Trump is running the government has fallen sharply to 33 percent after the Democrats’ recent victories in the midterm elections and before Congress moves to end the longest federal government shutdown, a figure that was 43 percent in March.

This decline is largely the result of a significant drop in support among Republicans and independents. Only 68 percent of Republicans are still satisfied with Donald Trump’s performance in office; the figure was previously 81 percent. Support for Trump among independents has also fallen from 38 to 25 percent.

According to local media reports, the long federal government shutdown, which disrupted flights, left hundreds of thousands of federal employees without pay, and limited access to food aid for vulnerable groups, has played a significant role in increasing dissatisfaction.

Although Trump has blamed the impasse on Democrats, public opinion blames both parties.

At the same time, the radical changes in the US government in recent months, such as the weakening of institutions and a wave of mass layoffs, have also had an impact on the formation of this dissatisfaction.

According to the report, Trump's decline in popularity among his Republican colleagues is significant. Some, like Beverly Lucas, 78, of Florida, have described the more than 40-day government shutdown as “the heroic behavior of a stubborn child” in the White House and consider actions such as holding lavish parties while people are deprived of their rights “cruel.”

On the other hand, 95 percent of Democrats are still dissatisfied with Trump’s performance in office.

According to the poll results, overall satisfaction with Trump has remained almost stable, with only 36 percent of Americans approving of his performance as president.

Americans’ support for Trump on issues such as the economy and immigration has also not changed much compared to the previous month.

On the sensitive issue of health, only about a third of people evaluate his performance positively.

Some experts believe that despite the government reopening, the damage to the president’s image could be lasting, especially after the recent decline in economic and immigration indicators.

Even some disgruntled Republicans warn that political hostage-taking over the rights of sensitive workers like air traffic controllers is not the solution, and that the country needs “reasonable, non-bullying” dialogue.

The poll, conducted between Nov. 6 and 10 among 1,143 adults, has a margin of error of 3.8 percentage points.
