Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Herat: The organizers of this program stated that its goal is to create awareness, strengthen solidarity, and open a space for dialogue about moral and faith-based responsibility towards the Holy Quds.
Maulvi Hafizi, one of the organizers, said: “This conference is a new effort to clarify the dimensions of the Gaza crisis and convey the message of the Palestinian resistance to the people of Afghanistan, especially the younger generation.” He emphasized that awareness of the suffering and perseverance of the people of Gaza must be accompanied by practical action, and the Islamic Ummah has the duty to keep the voices of the oppressed Palestinians alive.
He added that the Forough Cultural Institution has tried to fulfill its religious responsibility towards the Palestinian issue by launching a large book reading competition with the participation of four thousand people in recent months. According to him, explaining the resistance of the people of Gaza and strengthening the spirit of freedom-seeking among young people has been the main focus of the institution's activities.
Mawlavi Abdul Rauf Mukhlis, a religious scholar and university professor, also said in the program: "The issue of Palestine is not only a political issue for Muslims, but also has its roots in religious and ideological beliefs." He emphasized that ignoring Jerusalem is ignoring one of the fundamental responsibilities of the Islamic nation, and views must go beyond the level of sympathy and turn into a practical commitment.
He added that holding such conferences helps clarify the position of Jerusalem in the minds of society and creates a new motivation for Muslims to participate in supporting the Palestinian resistance. According to him, these programs play an important role in intellectual awakening and increasing positive sensitivity towards the Palestinian issue.
“The presence of thousands of people in this program shows that the people of Herat stand with the people of Gaza and consider supporting Palestine a conscientious and humane duty,” said Ahmad Mirzaei, one of the participants. He emphasized that the suffering of the people of Gaza is palpable for everyone and everyone should do their best to make their voices heard and defend their legitimate rights.
The conference was one of the largest recent gatherings in Herat in support of the Palestinian people, and organizers have promised that more awareness-raising and cultural programs will continue in this regard.
