Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to TASS, according to a statement issued by the Sandia National Laboratories affiliated with the US Department of Energy, these tests were conducted from August 19 to 21 in Nevada.
During the tests, the US fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets carried and dropped these bombs with training (non-operational) warheads.
The statement also stated that the tests were conducted in coordination with the US National Nuclear Security Administration.
The US National Nuclear Security Administration completed a program to extend the operational life of this type of aerial bomb by 20 years in late 2024.
