Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: The Afghan embassy in Tehran announced that the acting head of the embassy, Maulvi Fazl Mohammad Haqqani, met with Mohammad Saeed Arbabi, the CEO of Iran's Chabahar Free Zone Organization.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the expansion of trade relations between Afghanistan and Iran. The main topics of the talks included the opening of the Afghan Ministry of Industry and Commerce's representative office in Chabahar port, the establishment of a joint bank between the two countries to facilitate financial transfers, the transfer of land to Afghan investors and the completion of the Chabahar-Milk railway project.
The meeting also emphasized the need to issue long-term residence permits to Afghan businessmen and address their other problems; This can play an important role in strengthening Afghanistan's economic presence in the Chabahar Free Zone and facilitating trade activities.
The meeting was aimed at strengthening regional cooperation, developing joint infrastructure and supporting Afghan investors in Iran.
