Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: News sources reported this afternoon (Saturday, November 8) that vehicles from the International Red Cross and vehicles belonging to the shadow of the Kataib Al-Qassam Brigades entered the city of Rafah to retrieve the body of the Israeli prisoner Hadar Golden from the Al-Jinina neighborhood in eastern Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip.
Who is Hadar Golden?
Hadar Golden, born in 1991, was a second lieutenant in the Gifaati Brigade of the Israeli army and the cousin of Moshe Ya'alon, the former Minister of War of the Zionist regime.
It is said that he was captured by resistance forces in the Rafah area on August 1, 2014, during the Gaza War.
Hamas announced at the time that during a clash between members of the "Elite Squad" of the Kataib al-Qassam Brigades and Israeli soldiers in the Rafah area inside the Gaza Strip, Walid Masoud, a member of the Elite Squad who was wearing an Israeli military uniform, was martyred, and Israel recovered his body, believing it to be that of Hadar Golden, while he was a Hamas prisoner, dead or alive.
Israel says Hadar Golden was killed in the Gaza Strip in 2014, but Hamas has not confirmed or denied the possibility that he is alive.
The father of the Israeli soldier announced a mock funeral for his son about five years after his son disappeared, saying that his family held a mock funeral for their son out of resentment against Hamas and to prevent the movement from being seen as victorious.
The Kataib al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released a picture of the Israeli soldier as part of the seventh round of prisoner exchange deals with the Zionist regime during the recent Gaza war, during the first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.
In such an environment, Eyal Zamir, the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Israeli army, announced a few days ago the possibility of a new deal with Hamas to hand over Golden's body, saying that Hamas should hand over Golden's body in exchange for the safe exit of Kataib al-Qassam forces from the Rafah tunnels located in the area under the control of the occupying army.
The Netanyahu government or the Hamas movement has not yet taken a clear and precise position on this matter, but today, informed sources reported that vehicles of Hamas' elite forces and the International Red Cross had entered Rafah to find Golden's body.
