Massive humanitarian aid begins to enter Gaza Strip
After months of siege, a large wave of trucks carrying humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Al Jazeera Network reported that aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip this afternoon (Sunday).

The Egyptian Red Crescent announced in a statement that the trucks carrying aid entered the occupied territories this morning through the Rafah border crossing and then moved towards the Gaza Strip through the Al-Awja and Karm Abu Salem crossings.

According to the statement, Egyptian Red Crescent forces will try to enter the Gaza Strip today with about 400 trucks, a cargo of about 9,000 tons.

The trucks carrying aid entered the Gaza Strip after months of siege and following a ceasefire agreement.

In recent months, Israel has only allowed limited and trickle-down aid into Gaza in an attempt to ease global pressure.

The Gaza Strip is a densely populated area, and the long-term Israeli blockade has led to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the region.
