Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Beirut Scholars' Committee yesterday (Saturday, October 11) strongly condemned the Zionist regime's criminal attacks on Lebanon and strongly criticized the performance and commitment of the Lebanese authorities to these aggressions.
This Lebanese institution emphasized that nearly a year has passed since the Lebanese authorities pledged to protect the people from Israeli aggression, but these individuals have not taken any real action in this regard.
Beirut scholars reminded the Lebanese authorities that they must fulfill their duties and activate their diplomacy; however, they have neither activated diplomacy nor complained about this regime in the Security Council.
The Zionist regime targeted the border areas of Al-Musileh and Al-Najariyah in southern Lebanon today. The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced that one person was martyred and seven others were injured in these attacks.
Efforts are also underway to open the road between the cities of Sidon and Nabatiyeh after this road was cut off due to the Zionist regime’s airstrikes.
In these attacks, 6 bulldozer and excavation equipment exhibitions were targeted and a large amount of equipment was set on fire. Yesterday morning, the Zionist regime’s drones also dropped explosive bombs on the center of the town of Aita Al-Shaab in southern Lebanon.
The delegation of Beirut scholars continued to address the Lebanese officials: To what extent has humiliation, submission, indifference and silence towards Israeli crimes penetrated the minds of our officials? The officials did not fulfill their commitments, they disobeyed them and turned their backs on them in order to obey foreign demands.
Referring to the failure of Lebanese officials to fulfill their obligations to the people of this country, these scholars emphasized that these individuals have proven their lack of competence and have only beaten the drum of empty slogans such as the government's monopoly on weapons.
