Leader of the Islamic Revolution: Teaching and promoting prayer is a definite duty of religious institutions and religious people
In a message to the 32nd National Prayer Conference, Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized the vital place of prayer in the individual and social lives of Muslims and called for all-out efforts by religious propaganda institutions, scholars, and religious people to teach and promote this divine duty. He considered it necessary to utilize new tools and cultural incentives in this direction.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: At the beginning of his message, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution described the prayer conference as “one of the most beneficial gatherings” and the day it was held as “one of the most blessed days of the year,” and said: “This is because of the distinction and prominence of this meaningful and life-giving duty among Islamic obligations.”
 
Referring to the spiritual and educational effects of prayer, he added: “When performed with its rituals, such as humility and devotion to God, prayer calms the heart, strengthens the will, deepens faith, and revives hope.”
 
Imam Khamenei considered the role of family, teachers, associates, and lifestyle to be effective in spreading the culture of prayer and emphasized: “Religion propaganda agencies and religious figures, and then all religious people, should consider this their inevitable duty and use new and inspiring tools to teach prayer, promote prayer, and explain the meaningful subtleties in prayer, and finally, the worldly and heretical need of every Muslim for prayer.”
 
He also appreciated Hojjatoleslam Mohsen Qaraati as the founder of this cultural movement and said: “I must sincerely thank Mr. Qaraati for planting this fruitful seedling and bringing it to this point.”
