Freedom Flotilla Determined to Break the Siege of Gaza Against Israeli Threats
Despite the brutal Israeli attack on the Global Resistance Fleet and their mistreatment of humanitarian activists, 11 ships as part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition have set sail from Italy to break the siege of Gaza.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: "Huwayda Araf", a Palestinian-American activist, lawyer and spokesperson for the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, emphasized that the attacks by the Israeli occupiers on the ships of the Global Resistance Fleet will not stop them from moving towards the Gaza Strip.

Araf said from the deck of the "Al-Dhamir" ship, one of the ships of the Freedom Flotilla, that their only ship is carrying 92 civilians from 22 countries, including dozens of doctors and journalists.

He stressed that everyone saw the Israeli attacks on the ships of the Samood flotilla and the occupiers’ horrific treatment of illegal detainees, but “this will never stop us from continuing on this path.”

Arafat stated: “We have been working for years to break the illegal Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip, and Israeli brutality will not stop us. We know that this brutality aims to create a world where the stronger are always right and no one is safe.”

The spokesman for the Freedom Flotilla Coalition called on the international community to unite and demand “safe passage for these ships” and to stop all commercial activities with Israel.

He stressed that Israel has no right to control Gaza and that the Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip must be free.

Last Wednesday, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition announced the departure of the “Dameir” ship from the Italian city of Otranto to the Gaza Strip.

The Freedom Flotilla coalition consists of 11 ships, including the 68-meter ship "Al-Dhamir", which is carrying numerous journalists, doctors and humanitarian activists.

As of last Wednesday evening, Israeli authorities had seized 42 ships belonging to the global Samood flotilla that were sailing in international waters towards Gaza, and arrested hundreds of international activists on board, and then announced the start of their deportations on Friday.

After a report was published about the mistreatment of Samood flotilla activists in prisons in the occupied territories; the Israeli Minister of Internal Security said that he was proud of the way the flotilla activists were treated as "terrorists".

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli regime, with the full support of the United States, has committed mass genocide in Gaza; a genocide that has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 67,139 Palestinians and the injury of 169,583 people, most of whom are children and women.
