Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Mohammad Zubair Rahimi, head of the Small Industries Union and organizer of this program, stated that the center was established with the aim of reaching out to youth, introducing their arts and skills, and connecting them with the labor market. According to him, holding training workshops and specialized seminars to strengthen the technical skills of youth will also be important parts of the center's programs.
Mohammad Nasser Amin, head of the Herat Chamber of Industries and Mines, while welcoming the start of the center's activities, emphasized transparency in the job placement process and called for preventing any kind of bribery from young job seekers. He emphasized that “building trust between the people and the private sector is a prerequisite for the success of such programs.”
On the other hand, Hafiz Mohammad Abu Mansour, head of the Herat Department of Labor and Social Affairs, said at the opening ceremony of the center that the government supports public programs for job creation and considered cooperation between the private sector and the government a serious need for the country’s economic growth.
According to available statistics, hundreds of young people in Herat have technical and professional skills, and the establishment of such centers can be a bridge between them and the labor market.
Officials expressed hope that by launching such initiatives, the trend of unemployment and youth migration to other countries will decrease and the country’s domestic capacities will be properly utilized.
