Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The demonstration, which was organized by the Muslim Unity Council, Jamaat-e-Islami, Imamia Students Organization and the Palestine Foundation, was held with crushing slogans such as: "Death to Israel", "Death to America" and "Gaza is not alone", and the participants declared their full solidarity with the resistant people of Gaza.
The speakers of the rally, while referring to the presence of 7 Pakistani nationals on the ships of the Al-Samoud flotilla, called for immediate action by the Islamabad government and pressure on international institutions to release the humanitarian activists detained by Israel. Prominent scholars and religious figures also condemned the shameful silence of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League against the Zionist aggression.
Praising the humanitarian action of the Pakistani group present on the Al-Samoud flotilla, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said: “These volunteers showed the true face of the Pakistani nation.” He emphasized that Islamabad is determined to return all its citizens safely and raise the voices of the oppressed people of Gaza louder than ever in international forums.
The firm position of the parliament and the foreign minister: “Eastern NATO” against Zionism
In a tense session of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, explaining Islamabad’s official positions on the Gaza war, emphasized that Pakistan will never back down from the Palestinian cause.
New position announced against Trump plan
Ishaq Dar clarified that the Prime Minister’s initial statement on Trump’s plan was due to ignorance of the changes in the final version of the plan and the government has now clarified its position: Pakistan will not support any plan that leads to the recognition of Israel.
Islamabad considers the only legitimate solution to be the return of the Palestinians to their land and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
The Pakistani Foreign Minister called the detention of the “Samoud” aid convoy an illegal and inhumane act and announced that the Pakistani government is negotiating the release of former senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and other detained Pakistani activists through an influential European country. He emphasized that “Pakistan has no relations with Tel Aviv and will not have any relations.”
He also reported that several Arab and Asian countries have expressed interest in security and defense cooperation with Pakistan, and described the talks as the formation of an “Eastern NATO” that can act as a united front against the aggression of Israel and its Western backers.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members filled the parliament with chants of “Long live Palestine” and “Death to Israel.” Asad Qaiser, one of the members, stressed that “the 250 million-strong nation of Pakistan will never accept the betrayal of Jerusalem. Any peace without the return of Jerusalem is nothing but a lie!”
