According to the press release, as a result of these inspections, 50 types of medicines were collected in Nili city of Daikundi province and 50 kilograms of expired medicines in Farah province and transferred to central warehouses for destruction. A laboratory in Nangarhar was also closed due to the use of expired materials and non-professionals.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, the officials of the aforementioned centers have been given necessary instructions on compliance with health laws, health protection, improving the quality of services and preventing the issuance of substandard (code) prescriptions.
Analysis:
According to the observers, the supervisory measures of the Ministry of Public Health can prevent the spread of low-quality medicines and serious threats to people's health. Studies show that despite these efforts, the country's pharmaceutical market continues to face challenges such as smuggling and lack of adequate supervision, which require more serious measures at the national level.
