Afghanistan and Iran emphasize expanding economic cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations

The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum says that the minister of the ministry and the acting ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul have emphasized expanding economic cooperation, strengthening bilateral relations, exploration and extraction of oil and gas, and investment in the mining sector of Afghanistan.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum issued a press release today (Wednesday, September 3) stating that Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, the minister of the ministry, met with Ali Reza Bekdali, the acting ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, in his office.
 
According to a news release from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, in this meeting, Mullah Hedayatullah Badri and Ali Reza Bekdali emphasized expanding economic cooperation, strengthening bilateral relations, exploration and extraction of oil and gas, and investment in the mining sector of Afghanistan.
 
During the meeting, the Iranian ambassador, emphasizing Afghanistan's national security and rich mineral resources, called these capacities a good opportunity for developing joint cooperation and called for investment by Iranian companies, implementation of joint projects, and sharing of experiences in the field of mines.
 
The Minister of Mines and Petroleum also welcomed Iran's interest in investing in Afghan mines and committed to the necessary cooperation.
 
It is worth noting that officials from the two countries had previously emphasized expanding cooperation in various fields in various meetings.
