Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Sports Service: The Asian Football Championship U-23 qualifiers begin today. Afghanistan's U-23 national team, who are in Group II with Japan, Myanmar and Kuwait, will face Japan in their first match.
The match will be held at 5:00 PM Afghan time at the Towana Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar.
Ilyas Ahmad Manouchehr, head coach of the Afghanistan U-23 national team, attended the press conference along with Alireza Rahimi, a player on the team. Manouchehr began his speech by expressing condolences to the people of Afghanistan for the recent earthquake in the eastern provinces of the country, saying that his students have undergone difficult training in Kabul and are ready to achieve results in these competitions.
A coordination meeting of the managers of the teams present was also held yesterday, in which it was determined that the Afghan team will play in the match against Japan in red shirts.
