Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: In this context, Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani, who previously served as the governor of Laghman province, has been appointed as the Minister of Information and Culture. In contrast, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhah, former minister of information and culture, has now taken over the responsibility of Maidan Wardak province. Qari Mohammad Bakhtiar Muaz has also been transferred from Maidan Wardak to Laghman province and has been introduced as the new governor of the province.
At the military level, Mullah Mohammad Hafiz Mujahid, formerly the deputy commander of the 313th Central Corps, has been appointed as the governor of Farah province. Maulvi Ghaus-ud-Din Rahbar, the former governor of Farah, will now serve as deputy commander of the 313th Central Corps. Qari Mohammad Nasim Ezzat, former commander of the 2nd Infantry Brigade of the 205th Al-Badr Corps, has also been introduced as the deputy governor of Jawzjan province.
In the security field, Haji Shir Ali Jundallah, formerly the commander of Kabul's third security zone, is now the police chief of Paktia province. Mullah Abdul Shakoor Baryali, former commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade of the 209th Al-Fath Corps, has been appointed commander of the 2nd Infantry Brigade of the 205th Al-Badr Corps. Maulvi Nooruddin, the former deputy governor of Jawzjan province, is now the commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade of the 209th Fatah Corps. Maulvi Mohammad Omar Mokhles, the former police chief of Paktia province, has also been appointed as the new commander of Kabul's third security zone.
The changes are said to be aimed at improving executive functioning, strengthening coordination among government agencies and raising the level of security in different provinces of the country. Official sources in the Islamic Emirate said the relocations were based on internal assessments and management needs.
