Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Pakistani minister's remarks came after India's actions, including the expulsion of Pakistani officials and the suspension of the "Indus Water Treaty". The Times of India reported that Abbasi said in a press conference: "The Shaheen and Ghaznavi missiles deployed in our bases are intended for India."
He continued his threats to India, saying that Pakistan’s ballistic and cruise missiles were not for show and were “aimed at you, not anyone else.” Abbasi also warned that if India stopped supplying water to Pakistan and terminated the Indus Water Treaty, it should prepare for “a full-scale war.”
At the same time, reports emerged that Pakistan had received a shipment of advanced PL-15 air-to-air missiles. The First Post reported that the Pakistan Air Force recently released images of JF-17 Block III fighter jets armed with the Chinese missiles. The images show that China has rapidly delivered the missiles amid rising tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi.
The Eurasia Times also reported that the missiles delivered were directly sourced from the People’s Liberation Army Air Force and were not the export model PL-15E. According to published information, the operational range of the PL-15 missiles is between 200 and 300 kilometers and is capable of traveling at speeds equivalent to Mach 5.
After the production of these missiles, China quickly began selling them to other countries, and Pakistan was identified as the first export customer of the PL-15E. Many experts believe that the immediate delivery of PL-15 missiles by China to Pakistan would be a significant advantage for Islamabad in the event of an escalation of military conflict with India, and the long-range capabilities of this missile are considered a serious threat to India.
