Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to Al-Mayadeen, the Palestinian Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) announced in a statement that flour reserves in the Gaza Strip have run out, and announced that this situation continues in a situation where the severe Israeli siege against Gaza and the prevention of humanitarian aid from entering it continue.
The statement, which was published by the X Network, stated that flour reserves in Gaza ran out a few days ago, and the World Food Program also announced that its food reserves had run out completely on April 25.
The UN agency added that some 3,000 trucks carrying life-saving humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza are still awaiting permission to enter Gaza, but the Israeli occupation is not allowing them to enter.
The statement, referring to the worsening hunger in the Gaza Strip, stressed that some 2.4 million Gazans, including children, are suffering from severe food shortages and rely on charities to survive.
The statement called the total closure of Gaza's crossings the longest in history, stressing that these conditions have led to the deterioration of the humanitarian situation and the collapse of markets and the food pyramid structure of the people of Gaza, which was already quite fragile.
The organization called for the immediate lifting of the blockade on Gaza and the granting of permission for humanitarian aid to enter the area in order to save the lives of civilians in the Gaza Strip.
