Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: The opening ceremony of the seventh exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran's export capabilities "Iran Expo 2025" was held this Monday morning, April 28, in the presence of Dr. Massoud Pazashkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and political and trade delegations from 111 countries of the world, including Afghanistan, including 190 officials and more than 3,100 foreign economic activists and traders. More than a thousand Iranian companies have displayed their export capabilities in this exhibition.
In his speech at the ceremony, the Iranian President welcomed the presence of foreign guests in Tehran, stating that "Iran is a hospitable country and has warm and kind people."
Referring to the misconceptions that some foreign media present about Iran, he stated: What is said in the media space is very different from what guests will see when traveling to Iran.
Referring to Iran's strategic location, Dr. Pazshekian stated: Iran is a crossroads of communication from East to West and North to South and has diverse capacities for investors, traders and tourists. This platform can create a future with health, peace and security for the region and the world.
Emphasizing the importance of regional and global cooperation, he stated: Peace and security are established with trade, investment and constructive movements between countries, and its prerequisite is respect for the rights of nations and true companionship.
Referring to the roots of war and bloodshed in the world, the Iranian President noted: Many conflicts are the result of excesses and disregard for the rights of nations. The Islamic Republic of Iran has always emphasized and continues to emphasize respect for territorial integrity, the rights of countries, and human principles.
Welcoming the expansion of cooperation, he added: Iran is ready to cooperate with friendly countries in all scientific, economic, cultural, political, and social fields. There are no restrictions on the exchange of experiences, skills, and the transfer of science and technology, and this cooperation is a source of pride for the Iranian nation.
Referring to the shared responsibility of nations to build a better future, Dr. Pezhakian stated: The earth is our home and we are each other’s neighbors. We must work together to make this common home healthy, advanced, and a bright future for future generations.
Iran Today is a Land of Opportunities
Before the President of Iran began his speech, Dr. Atabak, the country's Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, welcomed the domestic and foreign guests present at the ceremony and stated: The presence of businessmen, economic activists and private sector ambassadors from different parts of the world is a clear sign of global trust in the export capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and hope for a better future for economic cooperation.
Referring to the history of Iranian trade, he emphasized: Over the centuries, Iranians have spread not only high-quality goods, but also moral, cultural and civilizational values to distant lands from East Asia to Africa.
The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran considered trade to be beyond the exchange of goods and described it as a common language for nations and a bridge for connecting cultures.
Referring to Iran's recent economic achievements, Dr. Atabak added: In 1403 AH, Iran's non-oil exports reached 152 million tons of goods worth $57.8 billion, and the trade balance, excluding imported gold, was positive by $8 billion. The volume of Iran's trade with the world has also increased by 11 percent to $130 billion.
He stated that the goal of Iran's Seventh Progress Plan is to increase non-oil exports by 23 percent annually, and he considered expanding new markets in Africa, West Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe to be among the most important strategies for achieving this goal.
Dr. Atabak emphasized principles such as facilitating trade, eliminating unnecessary barriers, digitizing processes, diversifying markets, investing in advanced production, and win-win interactions, and stated: Iran today is a land of opportunities; whether in the fields of mining, energy, technology, health tourism, and agriculture.
In the end, he invited all the guests to see Iran up close and touch the real opportunities for investment and cooperation, and expressed his hope that this exhibition will be the beginning of a new chapter of friendship and sustainable cooperation between Iran and the world.

Iran Expo goes beyond developing trade, seeking economic convergence and promoting relations in all fields with different countries of the world.
Dehnavi added: We see business opportunities here as a basis for participating in building a better world and producing prosperity for nations and deepening friendships and brotherhood.
A 200-member delegation of Afghan government officials, businessmen, investors and economic activists led by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture has also traveled to Tehran to visit the exhibition.
