Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Lebanese Islamic Party, issuing a statement regarding the terrorist drone attack by the Zionist regime army that took place this morning (Tuesday, Aprill 22) in a place in southern Beirut, announced that one of the movement's commanders was martyred.
The Lebanese Islamic Party's statement states: Hussein Ezzat Atwi, a prominent Lebanese academic and university professor, who was heading from his home in the "Baourta" area to his workplace in Beirut this morning, April 22, 2025, was martyred in a criminal drone attack by the Zionist enemy.
The Lebanese Islamic Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) held the Zionist occupation regime responsible for this brutal terrorist crime and stressed: "We strongly condemn the Zionist riots that have targeted the security of all of Lebanon and the Lebanese."
Hussein Atwi was one of the commanders of the Fajr forces, the military branch of the Lebanese Islamic Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), and the Zionists had previously attempted to assassinate him several times during the war that has been going on between this regime and Lebanon for the past year and a half.
The Lebanese Islamic Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) stood alongside Hezbollah forces during the war against the aggression of the Zionist enemy, and a number of its fighters were martyred.
This morning, Lebanese media reported that a vehicle in the Baourta area near Damour, located in Mount Lebanon, south of Beirut, was targeted by a drone attack by the Zionist army.
This is while the Zionist regime, in the shadow of the passivity and silence of the Lebanese government and international complicity, including the Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Ceasefire, of which France and the United States are the main members, continues to repeatedly violate this agreement and Resolution 1701 and has expanded its aggression to the point of targeting Lebanese army forces.
