In a meeting between Maulavi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, Acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Afghanistan, and Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, the two sides emphasized the development of cooperation in the fields of fiber optics, digital governance, cybersecurity and telecommunications services. New humanitarian aid was also delivered from Kazakhstan to Afghanistan.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Communications says that the meeting was held on the sidelines of the official visit of the Kazakh delegation to Kabul and discussions were held on infrastructure projects such as the development of the fiber optic network along the Turgandi railway, frequency management, improving telecommunications services and enhancing cybersecurity.
The Acting Minister of Communications, while presenting a report on the current developments and challenges of the country's telecommunications sector, called for more practical and technical cooperation from Kazakhstan.
In turn, Serik Zhumangarin emphasized his country's readiness to expand technical cooperation and invited the acting Minister of Communications to visit Kazakhstan to expand further interactions.
Humanitarian aid from Astana to Kabul
Along with this meeting, the National Disaster Preparedness Administration announced that 3.5 tons of medicines and medical equipment donated by the Kazakh government were delivered to the agency by Zhumangarin. Mullah Abdulwali Sarnawal, deputy director of the agency, while appreciating this assistance, said that the medical equipment will be provided to those in need in times of crisis.
Digital Diplomacy; An Opportunity to Overcome Technical Isolation
