The governor of Herat province visited the Pashdan dam site, visited the progress of the project and inaugurated the bypass road constructed by the Public Works Department, the governor's office said in a statement.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Herat Governor's Press Office said in a statement that Herat Governor Sheikh Islam Jar visited Pashdan Dam and was closely informed of the progress of the project and discussed technical issues with relevant officials. The visit coincided with the completion of the Pashdan Dam bypass road by the Public Works Department.
According to the information provided by the project officials, the 9-kilometer-long and 12-meter-wide deviation road south of Pashdan Dam has been completed and ready for operation by the Public Works Department.
The governor of Herat, while expressing satisfaction with the progress of the Pashdan dam project and the opening of the bypass road, stressed the importance of this project in the economic and social development of the region.
It is worth mentioning that Pashdan Dam is one of the important infrastructure projects in Herat province.
