Water supply projects launched in Panjshir Province
Work on 50 emergency drinking water supply projects in Panjshir has officially begun, with support from the Aga Khan Foundation and funding from the World Bank.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Officials from the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department announced that these projects are expected to provide clean drinking water to approximately 9,000 families. In addition, the water supply will benefit 126 mosques, 6 clinics, 24 schools, and one madrasa, significantly enhancing community access to essential resources.
This initiative represents a vital step in improving public health and living conditions in Panjshir, where access to clean water has been a persistent challenge. The collaboration between the Aga Khan Foundation and the World Bank underscores a commitment to sustainable development and humanitarian assistance in the region.
