Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he plans to make a phone call with former US President Donald Trump tomorrow (Wednesday). The purpose of the call is to learn about the details of Trump's recent conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as to discuss the next steps to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
The call comes after a bilateral phone call between Putin and Trump lasted nearly two hours last night and focused mainly on Ukraine. Reports from the Kremlin and the White House suggest that Putin agreed to a 30-day pause in attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
However, the Russian Defense Ministry said today that the Ukrainian military had carried out attacks on energy facilities in southern Russia hours after the agreement.
Meanwhile, Steve Witkoff, Trump’s envoy for the Middle East, announced that US-Russian talks on Ukraine would be held in Jeddah next Sunday.
