Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Maulvi Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, published an article on the X Network today (Tuesday, March 18) regarding the extension of the UNAMA mission, saying that this mission should strive to strengthen relations between Afghanistan and the UN and other countries and reflect the security, economic and social developments in the country.
Mr. Mujahid added that UNAMA should also focus on lifting unnecessary sanctions and freezing Afghans' capital and handing over Afghanistan's seat in the UN to Afghans.
Maulvi Zabihullah Mujahid also stressed that UNAMA should refrain from creating unnecessary concerns and not be a pawn in the hands of biased circles.
At a dinner meeting yesterday, the Security Council members approved a resolution to extend the mission of the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan.
The United Nations said in a statement that all members of the Security Council voted in favor of the resolution.
