Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Abdul Matin Qane, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, denied in an official statement the rumors regarding the resignation of Sirajuddin Haqqani.

 

Qane emphasized in this statement on Monday, March 17, that the news was not true and asked the media to “refrain from reflecting propaganda that is far from reality.”

 

The statement continued: The Ministry of Interior officially announces that the rumor of Sirajuddin Haqqani’s resignation from his position is false and the media should report only based on facts.

 

It is worth noting that recently, a number of media outlets abroad have been spreading rumors claiming that the Acting Minister of Interior has resigned.
