Sixth round of prisoner exchange; 369 Palestinians to be released
The Palestinian Prisoners Information Office announced that today (Saturday) in the sixth round of prisoner exchange, 369 Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for the release of three Israeli prisoners.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): All eyes in Palestine will be on the sixth group of prisoners exchange ceremony within the framework of the prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and the Palestinian resistance today (Saturday).

According to the agreement, in exchange for each Israeli prisoner, the occupying regime will release 12 Palestinian prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment and 111 other prisoners from Gaza who were captured after October 7, 2023.

In total, this phase will include the release of 36 Palestinian prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment and 333 prisoners from Gaza. Estimates indicate that this group will be the largest group of Palestinian prisoners ever released.

Meanwhile, Israeli authorities have once again announced that they will not allow Palestinians to celebrate and hold ceremonies welcoming the prisoners; however, it is expected that, as in the past five rounds, the Palestinians will do everything they can to welcome the prisoners despite all the restrictions.

These developments come after Abu Ubaidah, spokesman for the Kataeb al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced the names of three Israeli prisoners who are to be released today. These three are: Sasha Alexander Trubnov, Yair Horn, and Sagi Dekel Hahn (an Israeli-American citizen).

Meanwhile, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office described the list of prisoners sent by Hamas as "acceptable." At the same time, the Hebrew website "Wala" reported that Israeli authorities have begun informing the families of the prisoners who are to be released after receiving the list.

Al Jazeera also reported that the names were on a list that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had requested in the first phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.

The prisoners are in the Israeli army reserve force and are under 50 years old. According to Al Jazeera, they were included in the prisoner exchange list for “humanitarian” reasons.

According to Israeli media, the three regime prisoners who are scheduled to be released on Saturday were captured from the town of Nir Oz in the so-called “Gaza Strip.” It is possible that their release will take place from a single location, either in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip or in one of the “central areas of the Strip.”
