Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Russian Defense Ministry has announced that its forces have taken control of the village of Yasenevoe in the Donetsk Democratic Republic.
The Russians are advancing so rapidly on Ukrainian soil that hardly a day goes by without news of their forces taking control of areas of Ukraine.
Moscow has managed to take control of numerous residential areas and villages in Donetsk. Tortsk is among the areas that have come under Russian control. This mining town is of great importance to Ukraine because it has a coal mine.
The Russians also continue to have the upper hand in the air battle, attacking Ukrainian positions with dozens of drones on average every day.
Moscow has announced that Kiev has lost 1,160 of its troops in just 24 hours.
Today, the media also reported on an unannounced visit to Russia by Steve Witkoff, Trump's special envoy for the Middle East. The Kremlin has denidecided any knowledge of the trip.
Earlier, the Daily Mail claimed that the US president is seeking to end the war between Kiev and Moscow within 100 days.
The newspaper reported that according to Trump's plan, Ukraine should withdraw from NATO and accept Russian sovereignty over the annexed territories.
