Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Ukrainian president said that if security guarantees are given to his country, he is ready for peace talks in any format.
In an interview broadcast on Sunday, Zelensky stated that Donald Trump's plan for a quick resolution of the conflict in Ukraine must not only stop the war, but must also guarantee that there will be no more Russian aggression.
He emphasized that Ukraine wants to avoid a repeat of the experience of peace agreements and negotiations that did not come to fruition in the years leading up to the outbreak of the war in February 2022. According to him, this means creating security guarantees.
The Ukrainian president, who was interviewed by the British ITV network, continued: "A stalled conflict will lead to further aggression and its repetition. So who will win and go down in history as a winner? Nobody. This will be an absolute defeat for everyone, both for us, who are important to us, and for Trump." Zelensky clarified: "If I had such a belief that America and Europe would not abandon us, would support us and provide security guarantees, I would be ready for any format for negotiations."
