Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: "Ahmed al-Sharaa", known as Al-Julani, the interim president of the Syrian government, on Monday reacted to Trump's controversial plan for the forced displacement of residents of the Gaza Strip.
Al-Julani said in a speech in response to Trump's plan: "The lesson that every generation of the Palestinian people learns is the importance of adhering to the land. In my opinion, leading efforts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land by Trump is not wise and is not morally and politically correct.
He stressed: "I believe that no power can force the people (of Palestine) to leave their land, and all efforts in this regard have failed, especially in the recent war against Gaza that lasted a year and a half."
Al-Jolani's statements come within the framework of the widespread Arab and Islamic rejection of Trump's plan, which he stressed seeks to "buy and own Gaza" in order to rebuild it and transfer Palestinians from it to Jordan and Egypt without the right of return.
The interim Syrian president, on the other hand, spoke about the sanctions imposed on his country, saying that "there is an international consensus on the need to lift them."
He said: "US sanctions are no longer justified after the fall of the former regime."
Al-Shara explained that Syria is facing major security challenges and one of the direct solutions to them is achieving economic development.
Stressing that there will be no stability without achieving economic growth, he added that this will lead to chaos and insecurity.
The interim Syrian president also spoke about rebuilding the Syrian military establishment after Bashar al-Assad, saying that thousands of volunteers had joined the new Syrian army.
He claimed that he had not imposed conscription, but had chosen voluntary conscription.
Regarding his decision to assume the presidency during the transitional period, al-Sharaa claimed: "I did not seek the presidency, but imposed my responsibility, and now the goal is to build a new, strong and stable Syria."
