Trump: Ukraine may become part of Russia

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: US President Donald Trump acknowledged this morning (Tuesday, February 11) that Ukraine will eventually become part of Russia one day.

 

In an interview with Fox News, Trump said: "They (Ukraine) have resources of rare metals, oil and gas and other incredibly valuable things on their soil. I want our money to be safe. Because we spent hundreds of billions of dollars."

 

He explained: "[Ukraine] may accept the peace agreement, they may not. They may become part of Russia one day. They may not."

 

According to the Sputnik news agency, citing this interview, the US President also claimed that significant progress has been made in developing a peace plan for Ukraine.

 

Trump added: "We are working with the Russians and the Ukrainians. I hope that a peace plan will be agreed upon and that negotiations will take place."
