Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: The Acting Minister of Water and Energy stated at the ceremony that the Islamic Emirate has ensured security, the Islamic system and economic development in the country and for this reason, the people of Afghanistan are expected to be aware and vigilant against the enemy's propaganda.
Mr. Mansoor emphasized that the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, taking into account the drought situation and the needs of the people, is committed to managing the country's water resources and assures neighboring countries in this regard that the construction of this dam will not harm any country.
On the other hand, the Deputy Minister of Water of the Ministry of Water and Energy noted at the ceremony that the Kamal Khan Dam was built to control floods and manage water resources, and the ministry assures that no country will be harmed by the construction of this dam.
Also, the Acting Minister of Agriculture emphasized at the ceremony that the leaders of the Islamic Emirate are working day and night with complete honesty in various sectors to provide services to the people of Afghanistan.
The Governor of Nimroz also appreciated the attention of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate to this province and stated that fortunately, in recent months, the people of Nimroz have witnessed the inauguration of several major projects in this province.
It is worth noting that the Kamal Khan Dam is one of the largest dams in the country, which was built in the Chahar Borjak district of Nimroz province with the aim of controlling seasonal floods, storing 52 million cubic meters of water, and producing 6 megawatts of electricity. It is worth noting that this dam, considering the status of water resources, has the capacity to irrigate 174,000 hectares of agricultural land.
