Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Alireza Bekdali; the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Afghanistan said: Afghan refugees who have entered Iran legally are in our sights and will be respected. We are trying to manage the presence of Afghan citizens in Iran and take advantage of this opportunity to strengthen relations between the two countries.
He also stated that expanding neighborly cooperation is the main priority of his mission and the Iranian Embassy in Afghanistan.
Alireza Bekdali, the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Afghanistan and head of the Iranian political mission in Afghanistan, arrived in Kabul this Saturday morning to begin his mission.
Bekdali was officially welcomed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate upon his arrival in the country.
Bekdali was also accompanied by the diplomatic staff of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul.
This comes while Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi issued a decree on Sunday appointing Alireza Bekdali as the new head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s embassy in Kabul.
Hassan Kazemi Qomi was previously the head of the Iranian embassy in Kabul.
Bekdali previously served as the Deputy Consular and Parliamentary Affairs Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Turkey, Cyprus, and Chargé d’Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Kazakhstan.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political relations, a master’s degree in regional studies, and a doctorate in international relations.
