Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces announced in a statement that in a clear violation of the de-escalation agreement, terrorist organizations affiliated with the terrorist front known as Al-Nusra, which are in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib, launched a massive attack on an area on the morning of Wednesday, November 27, 2024, and attacked our safe villages, towns, and military centers in those areas.

The statement continued that our armed forces responded to this terrorist attack, which is still ongoing, and the aggressor terrorist groups suffered heavy losses in terms of lives and equipment.

The General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces emphasized that our forces, in cooperation with friendly forces, are confronting terrorist organizations until the situation returns to normal.

Sputnik correspondent had previously reported that the "Al-Nusra Front" and its allied terrorist organizations launched violent attacks on Syrian army positions on Wednesday morning, and before the start of these attacks, an artillery and missile attack was carried out on villages and towns near the contact lines.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Al-Watan newspaper reported that the Syrian Arab Army had heavy clashes with the terrorists of the Al-Nusra Front and its allies in the southwest to the northwest of Aleppo throughout Wednesday, and was able to inflict heavy casualties and material losses on the terrorists.

According to the Syrian media, field sources in the western suburbs of Aleppo reported that while responding to the terrorist attack since yesterday morning, the Syrian army units targeted the enemy's rear supply lines with artillery and guided missiles and were able to destroy the terrorists' fortifications and centers, and the clashes are still ongoing.

These sources informed Al-Watan newspaper that the Syrian army's missiles and heavy artillery targeted the rear lines of the Nusra Front terrorists around the towns of Taqad, Al-Abzmo, Kafr Amma Kafr Taal, and Tadil in western Aleppo, as well as in the vicinity of the cities of Al-Atarib and Dara' Izza, during which a number of these terrorists were killed and wounded.

According to the aforementioned sources, simultaneously with these clashes, the Syrian army air force and Russian fighter jets targeted the positions and concentration points of the terrorists in the axes of western Aleppo and destroyed their targets.

The sources reported that the Nusra terrorists have turned all the villages and towns on the contact lines into military barracks and have closed the Idlib crossing to the southwestern outskirts of Afrin. Meanwhile, the Syrian Arab Army artillery targeted the gathering centers of the Nusra Front terrorists near the eastern outskirts of Idlib. The Syrian Army also targeted the positions of the Nusra Front and its allies in the Hama and Idlib countryside with heavy artillery and airstrikes yesterday. The sources announced that since yesterday, all axes in the Idlib and Aleppo countryside have been the scene of clashes between the Syrian Army and the terrorists, and evidence shows that the time for reducing tensions has ended, the battles have returned to the Aleppo and Idlib fronts, and the terrorists have suffered heavy losses so far.
