According to an AFP report, quoting a Hamas leader, the movement has announced its readiness to reach an agreement with the Zionist regime on a ceasefire in Gaza.

We informed the mediators in Egypt, Qatar and Turkey that if the occupying regime adheres, Hamas is ready to reach a ceasefire agreement and a serious deal for the exchange of prisoners, but the occupying regime is preventing the agreement from being reached and is evading and continuing the genocidal war.

The Zionist security cabinet on Tuesday agreed to the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, and today (Wednesday) this agreement entered into force.

Ministers in Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet and opposition leaders have criticized the agreement because they believe it was made before "ensuring the military defeat of Hezbollah and the safe return of residents" to northern occupied Palestine.
